DICTIONARIES EXPLORERThe dictionary uses Dictionaries Explorer II the new interface by Magenta which sets new standards in its league. TERMINOLOGYExtended terminology of SCIENCES AND PROFESSIONS is contained in the GOLDEN VERSION 2007. Special mention should be made to the dictionary of Information Technology and Internet terms which contains over 22,000 entries. In detail:
When you look up words, next to each headword, you will see an icon of the profession or the science from which the term is derived (only applicable to terms). SEARCH
You can search whole words or part of a word. When you enter a word the Dictionaries Explorer will search for it in the entries index, that is to say it will check whether there is a headword matching your search. The Dictionaries Explorer displays all words starting with the word you entered. If no word is found, the it removes one character from the end of the word until at least one word is found. Alternatively, you can search based on words ending, for example for words ending to "-ing", such as nothing, accessing etc. SAVE ENTRIESUsing the Save function you can save the definition of the active entry as an enriched file (.rtf). The MacOS X "Save as" dialog box will appear from which you can select the disk, folder and type of file. Thus you can save and share information or use it in your own documents. PRINT ENTRIESUsing the Print function you can print the definition of the active entry. The MacOS X "Print" dialog box will appear from which you can select the printer and make any last minute adjustments. UNIVERSAL
