Extensions for Windows Explorer » Run apps with parameters You can use this extension to run a program with parameters. Many programs accept on their command line certain information in a standard order (this information is called parameters) which affects how they run. For example if a word processing program accepts as parameter the file which will open as it is launched you can provide the name of that file. Alternatively you will have to open it manually once the program is loaded. Selecting Run with parameters
In order to select the Extension, open in a windows desktop window, the folder of the program and right click on its icon. NOTE: A window will then be displayd which will allow you to define the parameters for the program. The program Here you will see the path and name of the executable file on which you right-clicked. Although you can make changes you must make sure that they are correct and that it is still executable. For example if you change the path you must make sure that it is a correct path leading to the same executable file. The parameters Here you enter the parameters which will be passed on to the program as it is run. You need to know their type (numbers and/or letters) and number as some programs have restrictions regarding the number of parameters they can accept and the order with which they will be run. NOTE: Parameters used Here you can see the parameters which you used in the past for the specific file. Thus you can double click on a parameter and it will appear on the The parameters box so that you can use it again. By clicking on this button the program you selected will be run according to the parameters you defined.
In order to delete a parameter you used in the past, select it and click on this button. Thus you can delete the whole history or only the parameters you want.
